"This time spent in quarantine has given me the space and time to reflect on Easter in my sketchbook. As a Christian, it is interesting to be confronted with the reality of a very sick and broken world, and at the same time, to be celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus. Artwork depicting Jesus as sick and broken for the sins of the world have always appealed to me - but they do so even more now that they visibly reflect the sickness and brokenness around me. For Christians, the symbol of Christ's broken body is a sign of hope, and it has been so for me during this quarantine period."
